The full agreement for using tyca — written for what tyca actually is: a free play-money game with no deposits, no cash-outs, and no gambling.
Plain-language summary — the full terms below govern.
Welcome to tyca. By creating an account or using tyca.io (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
tyca is a free-to-play prediction market. You receive free play-money coins and use them to buy and sell shares in the outcomes of real-world events — sports, politics, crypto, culture and more — at prices set by trading. When a market resolves, winning shares pay out in coins and you compete on leaderboards ranked by portfolio value. tyca involves no real money, no wagering, and no gambling. Coins and shares have no monetary value, cannot be purchased or deposited, and cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or cashed out for money, goods, or prizes.
To keep every market continuously priced and tradeable, the exchange includes platform-operated market-maker accounts that provide liquidity alongside human traders. They trade under the same rules as everyone else, and their activity is part of the public trade tape and the ledger totals shown on our Transparency page.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use tyca. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Provide accurate information when registering. We may decline, suspend, or reclaim accounts (including display names that impersonate others or infringe rights).
Coins, shares, points, badges, streaks, and any other in-game items are virtual items with no monetary value. They are licensed to you for use within the Service, not owned or transferable. We may grant, adjust, top up, expire (e.g. at season end), or reset virtual items to operate the game and its economy, and we may forfeit virtual items obtained through violations of these terms. Virtual items carry no entitlement to compensation of any kind.
Every market states how it resolves (“How it resolves” on the market page). Markets settle automatically from named data sources or by the tyca desk against the public record; each settled market shows a settlement receipt describing how it was resolved. Trading halts when a market closes. Clearly ambiguous, erroneous, or voided markets settle neutrally (positions refunded in coins). For parlays, every leg must win for the parlay to pay; if a leg is voided, that leg’s multiplier is removed and the parlay settles on its remaining legs. Resolution decisions are final within the game — if you believe a settlement is wrong, use the dispute option on the market page within the posted window and we will review it against the resolution rule; the post-review outcome is final.
tyca is a game of skill played on honest numbers. You agree not to:
We may reverse trades, void positions, forfeit coins, remove leaderboard entries, and suspend or terminate accounts involved in any of the above, at our discretion, with or without notice.
You retain ownership of what you submit (e.g. your display name and comments), and you grant tyca a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the Service. Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you. The tyca name, design, software, and market data presentation are owned by tyca and may not be copied without permission. If you believe content on tyca infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.
tyca is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, any sports league, team, federation, political party, company, or other person or body referenced in a market. Names, trademarks, and event references are used for identification only.
Market prices on tyca are the aggregate of play-money trading by our users. They are provided for entertainment and information only and are not financial, investment, betting, or professional advice, nor a prediction service you should rely on. We owe you no fiduciary duty.
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that scores, results, prices, or third-party data (including match data and video highlights) are accurate, complete, or always available, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, tyca is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because coins have no monetary value, loss of coins, shares, positions, streaks, or leaderboard standing is not a compensable loss.
You agree to indemnify and hold tyca harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of your breach of these terms, your content, or your misuse of the Service.
You may stop using tyca and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the Service or its users; on termination your licence to virtual items ends and coins, shares, and standings are forfeited. Sections 6–11 survive termination.
If you have a dispute with tyca, contact us first at [email protected] and we’ll try to resolve it informally within 60 days before either side pursues any formal process.
We may update these terms from time to time; we’ll revise the date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
