About tyca

A prediction market you can actually play.

tyca is a live exchange for calling what happens next — sports, politics, crypto, culture — traded with free coins that are never worth real money. We built it on a simple belief: reading the world well is a skill worth showing off, and you shouldn't have to risk a cent to prove it.

The short version

What tyca is

Four things at once — a market, a game, a news lens, and genuinely free.

A real market

Every percentage on tyca is a live price set by traders — not a poll, not a house line. Buy a side, watch the price move with the news, and sell any time before it settles.

A fair game

Everyone starts a season with the same free coins, and coins can’t be bought — by anyone, at any price. The leaderboard measures one thing only: how well you read the world.

A sharper way to follow the news

A headline tells you what happened. A market price tells you what the crowd thinks happens next — updated live, all day, across sports, politics, crypto, tech and more.

Free. Actually free.

No deposit, no card, no premium tier, no thing to unlock with money. You get 5,000 coins to start, daily top-ups if you run dry, and that’s the entire business relationship.

Just as important

What tyca is not

A prediction market people can trust starts with hard lines we never cross.

Not gambling

There are no deposits and no cash prizes. Coins hold no monetary value and can never be exchanged for money — tyca sits in the same legal category as fantasy leagues played for pride.

Not a sportsbook

No house sets the odds and no house wins when you lose. Prices come from the crowd, and since no money ever enters, there is nothing for anyone to lose but coins.

Not financial advice

Market prices are the crowd’s live opinion — often sharp, sometimes wrong. They are a way to read sentiment, not a recommendation to do anything with real money anywhere else.

Not pay-to-win

You cannot buy coins, boosts, second chances or rank. If someone tops a tyca leaderboard, they earned it trade by trade — that’s the whole point of the game.

The part we sweat

How markets resolve

A prediction market is only as good as its settlement. If outcomes are decided late, loosely, or by whoever feels like it, the prices above them mean nothing — so resolution is the part of tyca we engineered hardest, and the part we make fully public.

1

The rule is public before you trade

Every market states how it settles — and from which source — right on the market page, before the first coin moves. No judgment calls invented after the fact.

2

Data settles most markets automatically

Official scores, published results and live price feeds settle markets directly — usually within minutes of the real-world result. Winning shares pay 100 coins each, straight to your balance.

3

People review the rest

Anything a data feed can’t decide on its own is reviewed by an operator against the stated source. The outcome and its evidence are recorded, not improvised.

4

If it can’t settle fairly, it voids

Cancelled match? Question overtaken by events? The market voids and every coin is refunded in full. A murky outcome never quietly becomes someone’s loss.

5

And we check every single day

Automated health checks run daily and flag any market past its close that hasn’t settled. The live count is public — you can hold us to it.

Hold us to it

Markets running late right now: . A handful of just-finished events is normal — a pile-up isn't, and this number is public either way.

tyca is a market: prices move all day, and you can trade in and out whenever you change your mind.

Free-to-play games often sell what wins — coins, boosts, second chances.

Nothing on tyca is for sale. Rank is earned, only.

Open ledger

Built in the open

If we're doing a bad job, the numbers will say so before we do.

Our ledger is double-entry and continuously reconciled, and we publish the proof: coin supply, settlement counts, and any market running late are all on a public API, checked daily. The hero panel above isn't marketing — it's the same endpoint anyone can fetch.

For journalists

Press & media

Free-to-play means our odds are citable in any newsroom — no paywall, no gambling-ad problem.

Cite any live market as “crowd odds on tyca.io, a free-to-play prediction market” — every price, chart and settlement receipt is public without an account. One honest caveat: these are play-money odds; say so if you cite them for forecasting rather than color.
